Buell's new 1125CR Cafe Racer was launched to the press in Berlin to rave reviews and you too can now try out this excting new model!
We now have a demo bike available, giving you the chance to test ride this new addition to the street range, which is a 21st Century take on the legendary Cafe Racers of the 1950s and '60s. Just pop in or give us a call to book your ride.
In the meantime, why not read some of the reviews from the UK's top motorcycling journalists, who went out to the Berlin press launch to try out the 1125CR for themselves. Most notably, Kevin Ash, who writes for the Daily Telegraph, who explains how poor communication between Europe and America when building the 1125R had resulted in incorrect engine measurements with "completely skewed ignition mapping, leading to...excessive heat, poor fuelling and vibration" and the subsequent bad press that followed.
Now these problems have been resolved, the new 1125CR is a revelation to ride. "What a shock then, when I sat astride the compact, mean-looking machine, opened the throttle and let out the clutch: it pulled away smoothly, cleanly and with a huge amount of thrust even at low rpm," writes Kevin. "The vibration levels were much lower, it fuelled perfectly and even after the extended track use it was clearly running a lot cooler. This wasn't mere development, this was a big problem solved."
The 1125R, which has overcome its initial criticisms, is also doing well, particuarly on the drag strip as our customer Joe Elliott has proved by claiming the British Drag Racing Championship title in the Super Twins Street Modified ET Class.
