Auction Winner's Harley Ride |
A charity auction of promises to raise money for Christian Aid resulted in organiser Richard Bye sealing the winning bid for a ride on a Black Bear Harley-Davidson.
We donated the price of a ride on a Harley, including a properly fitted helmet, to the auction held at Exning Community and Church Hall in April - just one of 30 interesting lots that had been donated. The money raised from the event will go towards Christian Aid's Water Action Ethiopia project to provide sustainable water for 55,000 people.
Richard, who has not ridden a bike for many years since owning several scooters and a Velocette, decided he fancied the idea of a trying out a Harley-Davidson and visited us earlier this month to claim his prize. Our Dealer Principal Steve Loxton, took him out for a ride around the Newmarket countryside on board one of our 2009 demo Road Kings.
And the verdict? Richard loved it!
